PLEASE HAVE BETTER SERVICE, BETTER WORKERS, AND FOLLOW THE FOOD/RESTERAUNT HEALTH CODE GUIDELINES, AND HAVE AGE APPROPRIATE WORKERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Waitresses wearing open-toed shoes, hair was left down and wearing too short of shorts. Could have some a bit more polite waitresses where they are not on their phones and walking in and out of the kitchen. And also not to mention, hardly any service. Was ignored or hardly seen by the waitress.

Oh what a huge mistake we made going here. Lunch time had maybe 5 tables of people. Waiter took drink order then stood around with his hands in his pocket for about 10 minutes, occasionally looking at us all while we are waiting to order. Finally order pepperoni/mushroom pizza. About 30 minutes later it comes out burned and with about 5 small pieces of mushroom. Husband waited about 15 minutes for drink refill. Finally I took his glass to kitchen area and asked for refill. Waiter responds "I got it, I got it". Clearly he didn't! Pizza looked and tasted like frozen pizza. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place.

My favorite pizza spot in Athens! The place has a great feel and is right on the courthouse square. Very underrated bar with a plethora of craft beer on tap. Will definitely return and recommend this place to others!

Me and my family have been going to Village Pizza for at least 9 years & tonight I had the worst service all around that i have ever experienced. It was so bad that me & my family, party of 8, walked out before getting seated. I'm very very disappointed. To start, we called in our table ahead of time just to give them a heads up. When we arrived they were not ready, no big deal at all. The 16 year old hostess told us it would be 15 minutes. There was a large square table open and she said "once another table comes open I will push them together for y'all". So the 5 of us who had arrived sat at the bar next to the hostess stand while we waited. We sat down at the Bar & the barely 21 year old bar tender was texting on his phone facing away from us & it literally took him 5 minutes to finish texting on his phone to turn around & acknowledge all of us sitting at the bar. When he turned around the first thing he said was "y'all don't want nothing to drink right?".....Are you kidding me???? Yes we wanted drinks! We got 3 drinks & it was obvious they were having a lot of trouble with their taps. The Michelob light keg floated as he was pouring, so I asked for a bottle instead. He said sorry we don't have any bottle beer. I was kind of surprised to hear the bar didn't carry Michelob in a bottle. I ordered a Bud Light instead. We sat for 10 minutes or so waiting for a table just watching football. A few minutes went by and we noticed the table right beside the open square table was getting up to leave. We thought this was perfect for our party being 2 tables right beside each other being available. They cleaned the table from the previous party and we started to get ready just in time to watch the hostess place a party of two at one of the open tables , who walked in several minutes after us, at the empty tables!! There was another 4-5 seater round table nearby which was open, but that was the only other table available. I talked to the hostess to ask what was going on and advised she had said she was going to push some tables together but instead sat a party of two there instead. She didn't say anything she just stumbled over her words and didn't know what to say. I asked if she could " please move them to the other open table so we could sit down? You said we were going to be sat at those tables." The hostess looked dumbfounded and just said "I'm sorry is too bad but I'll see what I can do."...WHAT!!!! I was pretty taken a back to hear her say that. She disappeared into the back then reappeared shortly after & started folding Pizza boxes. It was pretty obvious she was avoiding us & was too afraid to admit to someone about her mistake. I then went to find someone else for assistance, the manager who was working was in her early twenties & very unhelpful. The story of what the hostess told us & what actually had taken place was different. I was going round and round with the manager of what had actually taken place & she just said "you're being very rude & you don't need to be acting like this in front of everybody." I told her you should have given us the common courtesy to acknowledge me & the situation which just took place. At this time another very young employee from the back came to the front and started getting rude with us as well. I told her you know what we're just going to leave. The manager looked at us and said, and I quote, "good! leave!" After she said that another adolescent worker in the back started clapping her hands to cheer that we were leaving.

I just brought my children to eat here. The waitresses were wearing short-shorts, had their hair down, and wearing sandals. The pizza was good, but the employees should learn how to dress in a food establishment. If I ever come back here, I will be looking to see if the servers are more appropriately dressed. If not, the only people I will be telling about this place is the Health Department.

The service at Village has slowly declined over the last few years, however it is definitely at is worst as of today. Not one single person working tonight was over 25 years old and it showed with everything they did. There was no sense of management from top to bottom and this is pretty sad to see. Unfortunately, our long tenure of eating here is over. we will not come back and we will vigorously spread the word of the horrendous management and staff that currently runs Village Pizza.
