Really, the only pet place in the Athens area. However, it has everything you need, none of what you don't. Even for my wife's chinchilla. Good prices. Good selections.
Most of the people who work there are nice and very helpful. Some don't want to help at all. Carried our dog to get his nails trimmed and the girl tried to drag him to the room. We had to ask her not to be so rough on him and we took the leash and walked him to the door. We fretted because you're not allowed in there. We hoped she wasn't as rough on him as she was right I. Front of us. You can do a lot of damage to their throats by dragging them and tugging on them the way she was doing. I was livid!! She then missed his dew claws. She just acted Like she didn't want to do it at all.
I took my small dog to get her toenails clipped today (about a 5 minute task). The groomer was busy with another dog. I asked the associate out front if we should come back and she said no the groomer was almost finished and she hated for us to lose our place in line. We waited for about 35 minutes and at about 10:45 another customer walked in and said she had an appointment at 11:00. The groomer got done with the first dog at 10:50 and walked out of the grooming salon and went straight and got the customer that had just walked in. I understand appointments. I get it. But it was 10 till. She could have cut my dogs nails and been done. What really ticked me off was she didn't even acknowledge we were standing there or had been for 45 minutes. That is just poor customer service and they just lost a monthly customer. I may not have been their best customer but I WAS loyal. Good bye Pet Depot!
I've ask the manager several times if they would order a brand of cat food. It was ordered once and they sold out within the same month. They carry it but in the smallest most expensive bag. They carry kitten & senior but not adult in the bigger bag. I was trying 2 make it so I didn't have to go every month to get 3.5lbs of dry food for $16+ tax. The other bag would last almost 3 months. Its a 7lb bag for $22+tax. I bought all my cat stuff there. The giant bag, not sure how big, would go bad before one cat could eat it and it has no way to keep closed like the 7lb bag. I have to put the small bag inside a container cause it's the same way. But after asking 3 months in a row, I'm not wasting my time or $$ @ a place that only cares about making a few extra bucks a month on their tiny bags of food and refuses to order the size a customer requested and has NO problem selling!
Great service and value. The shampoo is fantastic, very clean scent. Our dog was in bad shape before his appointment... he was shedding his undercoat! He looks extra handsome now! I couldn’t be more satisfied. We are return customers/client.
