Although their Produce section has the same low prices as the rest of the store, the quality of fruits & veggies varies from time to time. I highly recommend Aldi's to supplement your weekly grocery shopping, with great prices, although there is no reason why one could do their entire week's grocery shopping here, unless one wanted a particular Brand of an item, or a fresh Baked good, as found in some of our local Supermarkets.
I go to the Athens Aldi very frequently because of the good deals you can find, but here recently I find it harder to go due to the awful customer service. I understand that they are all about speed and lowest price, but none of that matters if there isn’t good customer service. I just left and had the worst experience. I was being checked out and the cashier was on his phone the entire time as he was ringing me up. That is so rude and unprofessional. It’s even worse because this cashier was a part of management. They are supposed to set examples. Some of the employees are great, but most of the time it just seems all they’re doing is pushing you out. Another rude thing that has happened to me is that most of the time they will start ringing up the next person before I even leave the line. It’s great that they have low prices and are quick but it’s all ruined by the awful customer service.
Low prices, friendly staff, lots of speciality items, 1 of a kind items. Good location. I enjoy shopping there.
Aldi is one of my very favorite places to shop. The prices are always good and the quality of the products are always good. We buy our meat there and have never been dissatisfied. They sometimes have different clothing items and household decor. We have been pleased with all of our purchases.
Love Aldi! You cannot beat their prices. Their store brand is just as good as name brand items. You can save a ton of money. I've never had any problems with their meat or any cold/frozen item. You know the milk is fresh because it is priced so everyone can afford it so they do run out on occasion. I only have 1 small complaint. The last time I was there, there was a little elderly woman who couldn't hardly lift much. The cashier could have helped her a bit more instead of repeating to her that she had to bag her own stuff over and over. (I was pretty surprised because I've never met anyone who works there that was ever rude.. Maybe she was having a bad day) Luckily there were a few of us that stepped in and helped her to get her stuff bagged up and loaded. She was riding on one of those community buses that helps people get around town so I'm sure once she got home she had help from there.
